Hi Reader,
What do you want to know?
Traffic to your website? Where it comes from? Why you aren't getting more conversions?
OR
How is your content performing? Is it helping you reach your goals? Is it growing awareness and nurturing an audience?
Your analytics contain everything you want to know about your digital marketing and where you need to focus.
At the end of each month, I spend a day analyzing my and my client's data to see if our content marketing is working. The first, question is always: did you book any new clients?
If yes → let's see where they came from.
If not → let's look at what we need to improve
For SEO, I use Google Search Console (GSC) to see how my site is performing in search, ex. what words are people using to find me? You can also Google yourself and your keywords to see if /where you show up:)
For my website, I use Google Analytics (GA4). It tells me where my traffic is coming from, which pages are getting traffic, and where conversion events are/or aren't happening.
ForLinkedIn, (that is my social media) I look at the analytics section. What I am looking for here is which posts got the most engagements. I am also looking at the audience breakdown to make sure I am getting in front of my ideal client.
Your Action - take a look at your analytics and see what you can find out. It may feel intimidating at first but it is worth knowing for sure.
